Roughly three years ago Jillian and I started watching a series called “Long Way Round”. It was documentary about two friends, two motor bikes and a 20,000 mile trip around the world. Well, we ended up missing the last three episodes and we couldn’t find on air again.
Fast forward to last week. We get the two disk set in the mail via NETFLIX. Loved it completely! The beauty and grandeur of countries that the majority of us never would even dream of visiting are on full display through out the entire documentary. It showed that goodness can be found round the world and especially in some of the most remote places. They also meet up with UNICEF in various parts of their trip, in order to raise awareness to the work this particular charity organization does and the importance of well needed support. Add it to Your Queue, I can almost guarantee you won’t be disappointed, kinda. But seriously you should watch it. Yeah.

Last night a group of us met up at DWR on Beverly to hear director David Lynch speak about transcendental meditation and how it has contributed to his creative process. A lot of deep thinking going on there, but not by me though. If you were to view images of what goes on in my mind, you’d see a confused troglodyte banging two rocks together over a pile of gathered brush. Or maybe a dog running in circles, round and round trying to catch it’s own tail, never succeeding.
The night before that Jillian and I spent a better part of the evening at Spaceland. The Virgins were headlining and the Friendly Fires opened for them. Check out the Virgins “Private Affair” video below, that is if you haven’t seen it already and if you have, enjoy it again. Afterward we met up at the Endendale for drinks in light of Gus’ birthday. And that’s what’s up!
