I remember only vaguely the early years of cable. HBO and MTV being such a huge deal. I remember the Cars “You Might Think” and MJ’s “Billie Jean”. Well, my parents slimmed down on some of our monthly expenses and the cable was gone. I didn’t have cable for the better part of my adolescent years, so whenever I was around it I would overindulge and spend way too much time at friends houses. These were the years when the Chronic was in heavy rotation and a few years later Radiohead would play at the Beach House with Thom flying into the pool, not giving a shit. Wasn’t that kind of the idea in the first place, to not give a shit and just play music?

Jillian and I remembered this last night. We almost shit ourselves laughing thinking about David Cross hugging Michel Gondry saying ” Papa, Papa…”. So funny!
